Copyright policy
Last updated 4 October 2026
Creatr only lets people clip videos they own or have permission to use. If you believe something stored on Creatr infringes your copyright, send us a notice and we will act on it promptly. We follow the notice-and-takedown process of the US Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. §512) and respond to equivalent notices under Japanese law.
Where to send notices
Ajay Shenoy, Creatr
Tokyo, Japan (full postal address provided on request)
Email: support@creatr.app with “Copyright notice” in the subject
What a notice must include
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- The copyrighted work you say is infringed.
- The material you say infringes it, with enough detail for us to find it (for example, the link you were given).
- Your name, address, phone number and email.
- A statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorised by the owner, its agent or the law.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the notice is accurate and that you are the owner or authorised to act for the owner.
What happens next
We remove or disable the material and tell the account holder. If they believe it was removed by mistake, they can send a counter-notice with the details required by 17 U.S.C. §512(g)(3); we pass it to you and may restore the material after 10 business days unless you tell us you have started court proceedings.
Repeat infringers
We end the accounts of people who repeatedly infringe copyright.
Knowingly misrepresenting that material infringes, or that it was removed by mistake, can make you liable for damages.
