Terms of service

These terms are an agreement between you and Ajay Shenoy, a sole proprietor in Tokyo, Japan, who operates Creatr (“we”). By creating an account or using Creatr you agree to them. If you use Creatr for an organisation, you confirm you may agree on its behalf.

The service

Creatr turns a long video into short vertical clips: it transcribes the speech, uses AI to select moments, renders clips with captions and framing, lets you make light edits, and lets you download the clips or publish them to your own YouTube channel. Creatr has a free plan and paid plans (Pro and Max), described under Paid plans below.

Your account

You must be at least 16 and able to form a binding contract. Keep your sign-in secure; you are responsible for activity under your account. One person per account.

Your content

You keep all rights in the videos you bring and the clips we make from them. You give us permission to store, process, transcribe and render your videos, and to send them to the providers listed in our Privacy notice, only as needed to provide Creatr to you. If you ask us to publish a clip, you authorise us to upload it to the channel you connected.

You may only use videos you own or have permission to clip and publish. You are responsible for the videos you bring, for what you publish, and for following the terms of any platform you publish to. See our Acceptable use policy and Copyright policy. We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these terms, including repeat copyright infringers.

AI output

Clip selection, titles, transcripts and captions are produced automatically and can be wrong. Review each clip before you publish it. We do not promise any clip will perform well.

Fair use of capacity

Processing capacity is shared. We may queue, slow or pause processing to keep the service within its limits or to stop abuse. Queued work is kept and continues when capacity is available.

Paid plans

Pro and Max are monthly or yearly subscriptions sold through Stripe, which acts as the reseller of record (it appears as Link on your statement) and adds any sales tax at checkout. A plan renews until you cancel; cancelling keeps it until the end of the period you paid for. Source credits arrive each month (also on yearly plans) and don't carry over. Adding credits or moving up a plan starts at once and is charged for the rest of the period; moving down starts at your next renewal. A video that produces no clips gets its credits back. The Max launch price stays yours for as long as your subscription continues without a break. Refunds and payment questions go through Stripe's support at link.com or to support@creatr.app.

Availability and changes

We work to keep Creatr available and your files safe, but the service is provided “as is” and may change, pause or fail. Keep your own copies of anything important; files are deleted on the schedule in the Privacy notice.

Ending

You can delete your account at any time in Settings. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms or create legal, security or cost risk for the service, and will tell you why unless the law or safety prevents it.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits or lost data, and our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or JPY 10,000. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for our intentional misconduct or gross negligence.

Your responsibility to us

If someone makes a claim against us because of a video you brought or a clip you published in breach of these terms, you agree to cover our reasonable costs of that claim.

Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of Japan. The Tokyo District Court has exclusive jurisdiction in the first instance, except where your local consumer law gives you the right to bring a claim where you live.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. For a material change we will tell you in the app before it takes effect; continuing to use Creatr after that means you accept the new terms.
